Terminal Layout

Unlike O'Hare's confusing multi-terminal layout, Midway has a single terminal building, making navigation straightforward. All airlines operate from this one terminal, with baggage claim located on the lower level. Security checkpoints are on the upper level, and concourses A, B, and C radiate from the central ticket counter area.

Baggage claim carousels: Midway has 6 baggage carousels numbered 1-6. Southwest flights use all carousels depending on flight volume, while other airlines typically use carousels 5-6. Your baggage claim number is announced on the flight and displayed on monitors throughout the terminal.

Vehicle Pickup Location

After meeting your chauffeur at baggage claim, they'll escort you to the vehicle. Commercial car service vehicles pick up on the lower level roadway (Arrivals level) at designated commercial vehicle zones. This is the same level as baggage claim, so you simply walk outside through the nearest exit.

Your chauffeur will load your luggage and you'll depart immediately. No waiting in taxi lines, no searching for a rideshare vehicle in a chaotic parking lot, and no surge pricing surprises. The entire process from landing to departing the airport typically takes 15-20 minutes.

Drop-Off for Departures

Connecting flights on different airlines? We provide direct car service between airports. The route uses I-55 to I-294 North (Tri-State Tollway) to I-190 into O'Hare. Drive time is 45-60 minutes depending on traffic. During rush hour, allow 75-90 minutes.

Traveling to Evanston, Wilmette, Winnetka, or other North Shore communities? We take I-55 to I-90/94 (Dan Ryan) north to your exit, or Lake Shore Drive for lakefront destinations. Drive time is 40-60 minutes to most North Shore locations.

While O'Hare is geographically closer to the North Shore, Midway's faster airport exit and less congested roadways often result in similar total drive times. Plus, Southwest's frequent Midway flights and typically lower fares make Midway attractive even for North Shore residents.

Midway to South Suburbs ($70-95 sedan)
