Long layover at O'Hare? Here's where to eat, terminal by terminal, updated for 2026.
Terminal 1 Restaurants (United Hub)
Frontera by Rick Bayless remains the standout — tortas, tacos, and tequila from Chicago's most famous chef. Expect 20-30 minute waits at peak times. Big Bowl serves solid Asian noodle dishes. Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill handles everything from pizza to filet mignon. For quick bites, Garrett Popcorn (Concourse C) is a Chicago institution. Starbucks locations on every concourse.
Terminal 2 Restaurants (Delta Hub)
Limited options during construction, but Wicker Park Sausage Company and Nuts on Clark remain open. The Berghoff Cafe serves Chicago-style hot dogs and craft beer — grab one before your flight. Food trucks occasionally stage on the connector walkway between Terminals 2 and 3.
Terminal 3 Restaurants (American Hub)
Tortas Frontera (Rick Bayless's quick-service outpost) is in Concourse K. Publican Tavern serves farm-to-table food that actually tastes like a real restaurant. Reggio's Chicago Pizza in Concourse H does a credible deep dish for airport standards. The Centurion Lounge (Amex) offers free dining that rivals any sit-down option in the terminal.
Terminal 5 Restaurants (International)
Terminal 5 dining improved significantly in 2025. Chicago Taphouse serves local craft beers and solid pub food. Vino Volo offers wine flights paired with cheese boards. Billy Goat Tavern outpost serves the iconic "cheezborger" for a last taste of Chicago before international departures.
